Common spelling mistakes among university students
Date : 2023-10-03 Time : 10:30:00On Tuesday, 3/18/1445 AH, the University College in Al-Khurma - female section - held a lecture entitled “Common Spelling Mistakes Among Female University Students.
The lecture was presented by Her Excellency Dr. Safaa Jaheen Ahmed. The difference between the wasl and qat' hamzas, the middle and extreme hamzas, and also the difference between the extended standing alif and the shortened alif at the end of a word were presented.
In addition to the difference between the bound ta' and the open ta', the distinction between letters that are pronounced and not written, and the letters that are written but not pronounced, and the definition of punctuation marks and their positions
The event concluded with training groups to detect and correct spelling errors. The meeting was attended by a number of female students and faculty members.
